Reintroducing You to The Gnar: What We Believe

You may have noticed something new at The Gnar. New website. New branding. New, more comprehensive services. A new foot forward as we enter a new phase for our company: a phase of sustained growth, continued brand-building, and exciting new capabilities and projects. All this new, though, has prompted us to reflect on the old—the time-tested values and motivations and distinctions that make us who we are. Because we’re not just another software development company. We’re a team of passionate problem-solvers, of software nerds, of voracious learners who can’t seem to stem our rampant curiosity and love to be challenged. We do the work we do because we have the training and the engineering skills to excel at it—but we love the work we do because we have a shared set of beliefs that make The Gnar more than just a software development company. These beliefs make The Gnar our home—and they make it a beacon for our clients, who just can’t shake their nascent ideas for company-changing software and need a partner to bring those ideas to life.

Here’s what we believe.

We believe in the power of software to transform companies. We believe that with the right tools and the right processes, talented engineers can tackle any software challenge. We believe it’s possible to write bug-free code…fast. We believe developing custom software needn’t be cold, impersonal, or overly complicated. Rather, we believe creating the sites and apps that distinguish your business should be collaborative, transparent, and even—dare we say—fun. Most of all, we believe in you. In your vision. In your company. In your goals. And we believe in our ability to bring that vision to life, however gnarly the challenge might seem. If you can dream it, we can code it. We believe this—it’s what we do. In our six years in business, we’ve made the impossible possible for clients across industries, from health tech companies to eCommerce businesses to government organizations. Obstacles are our rocket fuel: we’re always willing to take on any challenge—in terms of scale, volume, security requirements, etc.—because our core beliefs underpin everything we do. We know how to deliver quality software at an impressive pace; we’ve done it before, and we’ll do it again. For us, every complication and complexity are puzzles to solve with the right team, the right expertise, and the right processes. So now, we want to hear from you. What do you believe? What is your rocket fuel? What website, app, or software product idea can you just not shake? Whatever it is, we believe in it. We believe in you. Together, we can solve your gnarliest software problems—and build something worth believing in.
